Frustrated by daily hassles? Imagine mornings where getting ready is a breeze, thanks to Hyundai’s 2024 Kona. While it won’t dress you, the new Hyundai Pay lets 2024 Kona owners handle parking payments seamlessly using this fuel-efficient SUV’s touchscreen.

Hyundai has joined forces with Parkopedia to launch its first parking payment service, available to US drivers. This service allows users to locate, reserve, and pay for more than 6,000 parking spaces directly from their vehicles. It debuts with the 2024 Hyundai Kona and will extend to nine other models through OTA (Over The Air) updates, potentially including the IONIQ 5, IONIQ 6, and upcoming Hyundai EVs.

Hyundai’s platform, described as a scalable in-car payment system, hints at possible future integration of EV charging. Parkopedia’s global presence spans 90 countries, covering parking, EV charging, and toll services, thanks to its extensive database of 70 million parking spaces.

Hyundai’s 2024 Kona would perfectly tackle parking stress for US drivers. Parkopedia’s 2023 survey reveals that 92% struggle to find parking and 18% face constant challenges. 58% desire in-vehicle parking search, and 68% wish to pay for parking via their car’s media system.

The 2024 Hyundai Kona Electric, unveiled in March, boasts a sleek EV-inspired design, exciting features, and a tech-infused interior. Buyers can select between two batteries, offering ranges of 197 or 260 miles. It introduces a dual 12.3-inch panoramic display, SmartSense ADAS, and a connected car navigation cockpit.

Anticipated to begin at roughly $35,000, it continues Hyundai’s tradition of affordability in the EV market. The ongoing Konda starts at $33,550.
